Greetings from JS Global School
We are a Cambridge International school on OMR. We propose to conduct a RUN to make Chennai greener, with support from various Environmental, Educational and Medical organisations.
The event will take place on Sunday 12 March 2023 @ 5.00 am; starting from the school playground it will cover a distance of 10kms.
The mission of JS Global School has always been to create awareness for a sustainable environment. Our theme is JS RUNS for a GREENER OMR. Planting and distribution of saplings will be the highlight.
There will be a huge participation from the community of runners in Chennai. This will also be a first ever run for students along with their parents.
We expect a minimum of 2500 participants.

JS RUNS FOR A GREENER OMR
Since its inception in 2018, JS Global School is committed to the cause of a sustainable environment. Our students have actively participated in several lake cleaning projects guided by the Environmentalist Foundation of India (E.F.I).
Early in the year 2020, JS Global’s ‘IYARKAYIN VAZHIYAL’ a thought- provoking event celebrating and venerating nature took place. A brainchild of our Chairman Dr.S.P.Senthilkumar, this event steered us in the right direction. We believe that there is a strong link between the environment, our economic well-being and the future of our children.
This event is a constant reminder that everyone can be an Eco-warrior. Time is running out. If we don’t take collective decisive action in the years to come, the damage to nature will have passed irreversible tipping points.
We must work now. For whom among us wants to face harsh reproach from our grandchildren: “you knew it was happening, and you did nothing”.
